Why We Exist

Three Gaps No One Was Filling.

In 2005, the founders saw three problems the IT services market was structurally incapable of solving on its own. Onshore was built to address all three at once.

Escalating IT Costs

Enterprise IT salaries and service provider rates were rising faster than most organizations could absorb, pushing mid-market buyers toward cheaper but riskier alternatives.

The Offshore Tradeoff

Offshore outsourcing solved the cost problem but introduced communication barriers, time zone friction, high turnover, inconsistent quality, and intellectual property exposure.

Rural America Bypassed

Sixty million Americans in rural communities had been bypassed entirely by the growth of the IT economy. Talent was there. Investment was not.

Onshore pioneered rural outsourcing: a delivery model that retrains underemployed workers in rural communities into IT professionals, serving enterprise clients from the heartland rather than from large cities or overseas.

Founded in Macon, Missouri

Onshore Outsourcing established with a rural delivery mission: bring enterprise-quality technology careers to communities overlooked by the industry, and deliver higher-quality outsourcing to clients who were done trading quality for cost.

2010s

Enterprise Client Growth

Onshore's delivery center passed rigorous security audits from Ameren, Boeing, MasterCard, General Electric, and other Fortune 500 enterprises. Client roster expanded across healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and government.

2020s

Rural Outsourcing Recognized as a Category
